Habitat For Humanity Closing Restore

Habitat for Humanity is reminding everyone it’s closing its Restore by the end of this month. It’s chock full of construction materials and items needed for homes. Most have been donated to Habitat.
Habitat volunteers say they’ll be turning their attention and efforts to building more homes for the working poor.

Rapides Habitat for Humanity is closing its Restore on Broadway. The final day will be June 30th, and now it’s having an “everything must go” sale.
Officials with Habitat say they’re now focusing their efforts on increasing house production.

The Annual Children’s Miracle Network Telecast is, once again, a resounding success.

Off-Highway Vehicle Trail Opens At South Toledo Bend State Park

[ June 21, 2014; ] An off-highway vehicle trail opens at South Toledo Bend State Park Monday, June 2—the first off-road vehicle-specific trail in the Louisiana State Parks system. Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne will cut the ribbon at a 1 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, June 21. Entrance fees will be waived that day.
