[ February 19, 2014 to February 23, 2014. ] NATCHITOCHES  — Northwestern State University Theatre and Dance will present the musical “Hairspray” Feb. 19-23 in the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19-22 with a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 23.

Judy Caplan Ginsburgh Alexandria’s Newest Rabbi

Judy Caplan Ginsburgh is the newest rabbi in Alexandria.  Bennett Roland Junior attended services at the Jewish temple where she was honored for her latest achievement, which she says has been a 30-year journey.

Winter Weather Closes Schools, Roads

Central Louisiana is dealing with its 4th winter weather advisory in just a couple weeks.  Freezing temperatures and periods of freezing rain closed down schools today.
The state transportation department also shut down the elevated portion of Interstate 49 early this morning, but it is now reopened.  Drivers are still advised to be careful tonight and [...]

Never-Before-Shown Clementine Hunter Works On Display
