Career Expo Educates 8th Graders on Various Careers

The Orchard Foundation coordinated the Students Exploring Career Opportunities event.

It’s an interactive career expo for Central Louisiana eighth graders. Today they learned about the different requirements of various careers, so they will be better prepared during their high school years to choose a “pathway” into the workforce, a technical school or college.

Ten school districts were represented and about 3,800 students and 62 businesses participated in today’s expo.
