Camp Carter Aims to Improve Students’ Reading Skills

The morning camp is for first through 7th graders. It provides classroom instruction plus lots of physical education. One major goal of the camp is to help these students improve their reading skills.
These students are looking forward to a celebration day on Thursday. That’s when they’ll tell their families about their summer camp experiences.
Many instructors are LSUA education majors who are training for their future classrooms.
