CALL TO ARTISTS FOR AMoA’s SEPTEMBER COMPETITION

The 27th September Competition presented by the Alexandria Museum of Art is an annual, juried exhibition selected from national and international submissions highlighting contemporary art practices in all media. Featuring original art created within the past two years, 50 artworks selected by the 2014 juror, New Orleans-based artist James Michalopoulos, will be featured in a full-color catalogue and exhibition at AMoA September 5 through November 22, 2014. Total cash awards of ,000 allocated to juror-designated award winners will be presented during the opening reception on Friday, September 5, 2014 GUIDELINES: Visual artists over age 18 working in all media — including but not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital art, video, textile art, and printmaking — are invited to submit. Entries will be submitted digitally for judging purposes. All artworks MUST be original and completed in the last two years (2012 or later). entry fee for 2 entries, per additional entry. The deadline for entries is FRIDAY, MAY 30, 2014.
