Business/City Service Closures

Alexandria is not under any curfew due to the weather conditions. The Alexandria Police Department does urge those who can to stay off the roads until conditions improve.

Fort Polk employees are to report to work Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. Other announcements: Wheelock Gym opens at 6 a.m.; No organized PT on the roads in the morning; Fort Polk’s Child Development Centers open at 8 a.m.; The PX and commissary open at noon.

City of Pineville offices will be CLOSED again on Wednesday, January 29th. Only key and essential employees will report to Public Works and be available as needed. Sanitation services, which was suspended on Tuesday, will start to run that route on Wednesday around noon, weather permitting. Normal operations will resume completely on Thursday.

Proctor and Gamble will be closing second shift except for essential personnel. Employees are asked to call 318.640.7777.

Alexandria Eye & Laser Center will reopen at 10am tomorrow, January 29th.

TREE House Children’s Museum will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to weather conditions.

All branches of the Rapides Parish Library will be closed Tuesday, January 28, 2014, and Wednesday, January 29, 2014, due to the hazardous weather forecasted for Rapides Parish.  All branches will resume normal business hours Thursday, January 30, 2014.

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana office and warehouse will be closed Jan. 28 due to the possibility of dangerous winter weather.  The next day for food distribution is Thursday, January 30 from 8 a.m. – noon and 1 – 3 p.m.

Due to the inclement weather, all First Federal Bank offices and drive-ins will be closed Tuesday, January 28.  Offices and drive-ins are expected to re-open at noon on Wednesday, January 29.  FFB ATM’s are available 24/7

Due to the severe weather coming to our area, the Rapides Parish Courthouse and all offices in it will be closed until Thursday Jan 30th.
