Burglary Arrest

A 50-year-old man is arrested for burglary of a home in the 100 block of Mary very early Sunday. He is Willie Parker, Jr. of Alexandria.

Police were called to the residence on Mary Street in reference to a burglary. When they arrived, the victim told police that her house was burglarized and she believed the suspect was in her back yard.

Police say they found him in the back yard of the victim’s house, trying to put on a pair of women’s shoes. The suspect also had in his possession a bank card that was stolen from the victim’s car.

50-year-old Willie Parker, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. Parker is charged with Simple Burglary and Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling.
