Buddy Roemer Guest Speaker at LSUA

Each year LSU of Alexandria hosts area civic clubs — like Kiwanis, Rotary, and Lions — who normally meet weekly at various venues in Alexandria and Pineville.  It gives these club members a chance to cross over, learn about plans at LSU of Alexandria and hear from a guest speaker.

Former Governor Buddy Roemer is this year’s special guest.  He’s a Republican originally from the Shreveport area, who is now a businessman in Baton Rouge.

Roemer has run for president, vowing to fore-go corporate campaign contributions.  He has also been involved in economic development, particularly banks, in other countries.

His son Chaz is now the president of the State Board of Education.
