The deceased male that was found near Lecompte last Monday has been identified and an arrest has been made in connection to his death.
The victim has been identified as 32 year old Marcus Robicheaux of Arnaudville.
A joint investigation by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of 31 year old Alvin Jerome “Romeo” Lewis of Henderson in connection to Robicheaux’s death.
According to investigators, Lewis and Robicheaux were involved in an altercation in a vehicle that was parked outside of residence in Henderson.
The altercation led to Robicheaux being fatally shot and Lewis fled the scene in Robicheaux’s vehicle with his body still inside.
He then abandoned the vehicle with Robicheaux’s body in a rural area near Lecompte.
Lewis was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center with bond set at $200,000.

-1 count of Carry of a Firearm by Convicted Felon (Felony)
-1 count of Obstruction of Justice (Felony)
