Bicycle racing coming to LSU Alexandria campus
nurse serif;”>The Louisiana and Mississippi Bicycle Racing Association Criterium Championships will be held June 23 on the beautiful campus of LSU Alexandria.
thumb serif;”>The event will feature multiple races for men and women, ambulance beginning at 8 a.m., and concluding by 3 p.m. The categories and start times are:
8 a.m. – Junior Men & Women
8:30 a.m. – Men Cat. 5
9:15 a.m. – Masters Men 40+ Cat. 1-4 and Masters Men 55+
10:15 a.m. – Women’s Open
11:00 a.m. – Men Cat. 4
12:00 p.m. – Men Cat. 3
1:00 p.m. – Men Cat. P/1/2
2:15 p.m. – Women Cat. 4 (Non-LCCS race)
Registration can be completed online at https://www.usacycling.org/register/2013-2250. There is a $39 registration fee. Race day entry is $50 for the first race and $20 for additional races. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. and ends 30 minutes prior to each race.
Championship medals will be awarded to the top finishers from Louisiana and Mississippi. Other riders are eligible for prizes and applicable LCCS points, but not medals.
Masters will race together for prize money, but will be scored separately for medals and LCCS points.
