Bear Spotted in Holiday Park Subdivision
Rapides deputies are warning of a bear in the Pineville area.
One was seen after 11 o’clock today in someone’s yard on Highway 28 East in the Holiday Park subdivision.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries says if you should see a bear, stay inside your home or vehicle, shout and wave your arms to scare off the bear. If outdoors, remain calm and back slowly to the safety of your home or car. Do not run! If you are attacked, fight back aggressively with anything available. Do not play dead and never feed bears, they will likely come back for more!
