Avoyelles Parish Issues Burn Ban

DECLARATION OF A STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY

WHEREAS; an emergency exits in the Parish of Avoyelles, State of Louisiana. A Burn Ban is hereby placed in effect at the signing date of this document, due to the very dry weather and potential of forest/brush fires and the danger it impose on the citizens of Avoyelles Parish. Farmers are excluded from this state of emergency, as per the Louisiana Department of Agriculture.

THEREFORE, the local authority declares a state of local emergency in the form of a BURN BAN for the entire Parish of Avoyelles, until the conditions change.
