Avoyelles Parish Farmer to be Honored

A prominent Avoyelles Parish farmer will be inducted into the Agriculture Hall of Distinction this March. Lucien Laborde of Hamburg has been a farmer for more than 50 years.

Laborde is also well known for the bronze star he earned when he landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. The honor is conferred by the Louisiana Radio Network.
