Avoyelles Deputies arrest a Port Allen man for attempted murder of a police officer and other charges.

Alexandria Woman Arrested for Battery on a Man


Police arrest an Alexandria woman for cutting a man in what police call a domestic incident over the weekend.
55-year-old Eddie Mae Moss is accused of battery on a 59-year-old man.  He was not seriously injured.  Police say it happened early Saturday morning in the two thousand block of main.

Cenla Chamber Presents Congressional Candidate Forum in Alexandria

New Bio-Fuel Plants to be Constructed in Central LA


Governor Bobby Jindal made an announcement while visiting Alexandria today regarding good economic news for Central Louisiana.  It’s part of his 64-parish tour.
