Crash in St. Landry Leaves One Dead

A late night crash in Saint Landry Parish claims the life of a man from Cankton.
Troopers say Joseph Menard failed to negotiate a curve and hit several trees. He was not wearing a seat belt.
It happened at just before 2:30 this morning on Highway 93.

Cabrini Hosts Walk-a-Thon in Glenmora

Walking becomes a way to stay healthy and raise money in Glenmora today. Today’s Walk-A-Thon was sponsored by the CHRISTUS Cabrini Hospital School-Based Health Center and the high school.
