The Pineville city prosecutor announces his candidacy for the judgeship there.
Gary Hays has been a practicing lawyer for more than 20 years and has been city prosecutor since 1998.  He’s also a magistrate for the Town of Ball.

Huey Long Pineville Now Open

The Huey Long Pineville campus is now fully operational.  It’s located between the old Huey Long Hospital and the old CLECO building on Hospital Boulevard.

Alexandria Police report a missing teen is found and safe.  15-year-old Kenya Poole of Alexandria has been returned to her family.  No word yet where she was when she was missing.

A Bolton High senior basketball player is headed to Sewanee.  Eleanor Jurgenson has received a scholarship, and is going to be playing for the university of the south next year.

A Campti woman who was trying to alert drivers about a downed tree was killed in a crash early this morning.
