Pineville and Alexandria police are charging 36-year-old Desmond Price of Alexandria for a purse snatching and theft at both cities’ Walmarts. He was captured Friday after a high-speed chase that ended in the 500 block of Solomon Street in Alexandria.

State police single out an area trooper for bravery. State Trooper Thurman Miller, of Troop E, headquartered in Alexandria, assisted in a hostage situation in Tensas Parish almost a year ago, leading to the person’s release.

4 Teens Arrested for Vehicle Break-Ins

Four juveniles are arrested for vehicle burglaries in the one thousand block of MacArthur Drive and the 12 hundred block of Texas Avenue. Police say they were caught last night a few blocks from one of the crime scenes, though nothing was taken.
The juveniles range in age from 14 to 16.
