Rapides Deputies Find $47K of Meth in Deville

Rapides deputies say they found 47 thousand dollars worth of meth in the Deville area and arrested the owner. Johnny Ray Campbell is charged with possession.
The arrest was made yesterday at his home on Campbell Road. Deputies say they found around six thousand dollars in cash as well as more than a pound of meth.

Youth Challenge Program May Get 145 Million

There’s a 145 million dollar federal proposal for the Youth Challenge Program. It’s operated by the Louisiana National Guard at 3 sites, including Camp Beauregard.
The program intervenes when young people drop out of school or display problems. Some 14 hundred cadets graduate each year.

Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession

A man is arrested for drugs after being stopped for a traffic offense. Police stopped 19-year-old Reginald Bennett of Alexandria yesterday in the 28 hundred block of Masonic Drive, and they say they smelled marijuana.
Bennett is charged with possession of marijuana and with drug paraphernalia.

Pineville police need help finding a man who frightened girls playing in their yard. It happened Saturday afternoon on Donahue Ferry Road between the Pineville Expressway and Edgewood Drive.
