Home Canning Classes at McDonald Branch Library

[ January 8, 2014; ] Glenmora, LA—The McDonald Branch of the Rapides Parish Library, located in Glenmora, will host a Home Canning Class on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

Driver’s education class to begin Jan. 6

[ January 6, 2014; ] NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will offer a driver education class beginning Monday, Jan. 6. Those taking the class must be 15 years old by the first day of class.

Jackson St. Bridge Sidewalks Now Open

The sidewalks across the Gillis Long Bridge are now open to foot traffic.  The bridge was closed to all traffic for construction and re- opened to vehicles in time for the Christmas travel season.
Now that the sidewalk is open, the shuttle services formerly offered to pedestrians cut-off by the bridge are now suspended.
