Vitter Reinforces Support for Common Core

U.S. Senator David Vitter repeats his support of common core for a Better Business Bureau meeting in Baton Rouge. This places Vitter squarely in opposition to Governor Bobby Jindal who is trying to undo the evaluation system in Louisiana.

Vitter is a candidate for the 2015 governor’s race.

Acadiana Mother To Serve 8 Years For Death of 4 of Her Children

More Charges Filed in Criminal Sexual Conduct Case

On July 6, 2014, deputies responded to a local hospital in reference to a report of criminal sexual conduct that occurred in the Pineville area involving a juvenile female.  During the investigation, Detectives developed a suspect, identified as Christopher Shawn McGrew, 41 of Pineville, LA.  McGrew was arrested on July 7th.

On July 31st, 2014 a complaint was made with the Tioga Sub-station in reference to a possible cruelty to juveniles incident in the Deville area.  The complainant stated that the juvenile victim was struck in the mouth by the suspect, identified as Jana Leeann Salmon, 28 of Deville.
