Arrests are made in Grant Parish in a kidnapping case reported in the Aloha community over the weekend. Dylan Patten and Heather Patten, both of San Antonio, are charged with taking a child and heading to Texas or Mexico. The child was returned on Friday night.

University Academy Exceeding Enrollment Expectations

The University Academy at LSU of Alexandria opens its doors this fall as a laboratory school. Heather Poole says the school has been enrolling students for this latest venture.

2 Arrested for Operating Meth Lab

Grant Parish deputies make two arrests in connection with a reported meth lab in the Verda community.
37-year-old Christopher Chad Desoto of Dry Prong and 39-year-old Candy Ryan of Winnfield are charged with operation of a meth lab plus other related charges. The arrests were made over the weekend.

Police Solve Burglaries at LC

Pineville police say they’ve solved burglaries at Louisiana College that happened in recent months. They arrested 24-year-old Dominic Jamal Graham of Pineville for break-ins at the Weathersby Fine Arts Building and from other places on campus.
Pineville police say mostly electronic items, including computers, were taken.
