Local Companies Band Together to Form Clinic

A few local companies have their own clinic, and a spokesman today describes how this came about. It’s the Legacy Health and Wellness Clinic for the Roy O. Martin Companies, Afco Industries and Gilchrist Construction Company.

Ray Peters spoke about this today to the Lions Club.

University Academy Plans Auction to Raise Money

The University Academy at LSU of Alexandria is planning a big event Saturday.

The former state secretary of health and hospitals in Louisiana is indicted on nine counts of felony perjury.
Bruce Greenstein came to Louisiana at the governor’s request as an expert on health care. He was supposed to overhaul the state’s troubled health care system.

Dr. James Henderson Named NSU President

Doctor James Henderson of Bossier Community College is the new President of Northwestern State University. The announcement came about noon today, though the president elect is not scheduled to be on campus until tomorrow.
