Girl with Cancer Gets Surprise Visit from Unicorn

A young girl in Baton Rouge gets a very special visitor this week.
This is five-year-old “Lilie” and she is celebrating a big milestone in her battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Lilie just finished up her chemotherapy so she was surprised with a unicorn ride.

Private Detainee Transfer Center Opens at England Airpark

A privately owned transfer center for detainees is officially opened at England Airpark today.
It’s operated by the Geo Group, a Florida-based company. The company describes itself as the world’s largest provider of correctional, detention and community re-entry services. They have more than 78-thousand beds and run a detention facility in nearby Jena in LaSalle Parish.

Pineville Mom Arrested for Leaving Young Children at Home
