Motorcyclist Killed by Suspected Impaired Driver

State police say an Allen Parish motorcyclist was killed last night by a suspected impaired driver in Jeff Davis Parish. He’s 54-year-old Brian Hackenbruch of Kinder.
Troopers say Clayton Jack Junior of Ville Platte crashed head-on into Hackenbruch on Highway 383 near Iowa.
The accident is under investigation and no charges have been filed yet.

Lecompte Man Arrested for Delinquency of 2 Young Girls

A 21-year-old Lecompte man is arrested for contributing to the delinquency of 2 young girls who reportedly ran away from home. Jarrious Deloach is also accused of violating parole.
The girls and Deloach were located on Wednesday and they have been turned over to juvenile justice authorities.

Crest Industries to Buy Precision Cutting Specialties in Eunice

Pineville-based Crest Industries is buying Precision Cutting Specialties in Eunice. Crest CEO Kenneth Robison says his company will invest 5 million dollars to expand the company in Eunice and create 20 new jobs.

Soldier’s Lawyer Asking for Bond to Be Significantly Reduced

A request to reduce the bond on a Fort Polk soldier shot by an Alexandria policeman could be heard as early as the week of September 8th. The lawyer for Mitchel Ryan Bethin is asking that his 100 thousand dollar bond be significantly reduced. The case is assigned to Judge John Davidson.

Man Receives More Charges, Totaling Bonds to Over $1 Million

More charges are added for a man already accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with a child, as well as drug possession.
56-year-old Joseph Glen Desoto of Pineville is charged with additional counts of inappropriate behavior and including sexual battery, indecent behavior, obstruction of justice, intimidating a witness gun possession.
