Hannah Books Author Signs Copies at Gunter Library

Fans of the Hannah Books met with the children’s series author this morning. Pam Randle Keith visited the Gunter Branch of the Rapides Parish Library to sign copies of her latest book, “Hannah’s Big Secret.”

Rosepine Police Chief Arrested for Stalking His Wife

Rosepine, LA- Last month, detectives assigned to the Alexandria field office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations received a criminal complaint in reference to Rosepine Police Chief James “Dennis” Parrott.  The complaint alleged 49-year-old Parrott of Rosepine stalked his estranged wife while she was at her place of work and at her home.

Grand Jury Indicts Alexandria Man for Murder of Sheterica Brewer

A grand jury indicts an Alexandria man for the murder of Sheterica Brewer.  He’s 23-year-old Brad Jeansonne.
Brewer was reported missing by her family and a couple days later police found her body. Her car was found burned in the Duhon Street area.

Local Children Grow Their Own Organic Garden

Children show off their organic garden to friends and family today. They have their very own garden club, a program attached to the Good Food Project. They meet weekly to learn to grow their very own vegetables.

Aggravated Battery Arrest Made from July 27th Fight

On July 27th, 2014, deputies responded to a local hospital in reference to a report of battery stemming from an incident which occurred near the 500 block of Hooper Rd. Deville, LA.  The victim sustained serious injuries which required medical attention.
