Grant Deputies Arrest a Man With a Stolen Car


Grant Deputies arrest a man over a stolen car and they say he tried to pass himself off as his brother.
Deputies say 25-year-old Kenneth Trey Moran of Dry Prong stole the car from Alexandria.  He faces multiple charges including burglary, trespassing, criminal damage and giving false information.

Attempted Home Break-In in Alexandria on Saturday


Alexandria Police catch a man in the act of breaking into a home in the 19 hundred block of Huffman.  Police say 48-year-old Gerald King tried to break-in through a back window early Saturday.

Pineville Police Searching for Burglar


Pineville Police need your help identifying a man involved in multiple home and car burglaries.  These are surveillance photos of the man, who appears to be about six feet tall with a slightly muscular build.  Call Pineville Police if you know who this is.

Reward Offered for Burglary Information

Crime Stoppers

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people who broke into Northwood High School.  Authorities discovered the damage on July 1st.  They say thieves stole 28 thousand dollars worth of equipment.

2 Arrested for Home Burglary


A home burglary ends with shots being fired and two people from Alexandria behind bars.  42 year old Darren Brown and 30 year old Abigail Keller are accused of firing shots in the 16 hundred block of Stanford on July 3rd.  No one was hurt.

Five Fatal Crashes during Fourth of July Weekend

During the 2013 Fourth of July holiday weekend, Louisiana State Police investigated 5 fatal crashes resulting in 6 deaths.  Three of the six people killed were not wearing seat belts and one of the crashes involved impairment. Troopers are urging motorists to abide by the laws of driving sober and properly wearing seat belts.

LSUA Celebrates Independence Day

LSU Alexandria has already celebrated Independence Day by hosting a cookout today.  The students, staff, faculty and friends were invited for burgers, dogs, fixin’s and dessert.  Students also set up an obstacle course.  There were also board games and volleyball.  The student body band performed.
