UPDATE – Second Suspect Arrested in McKeithan Drive Shooting

Evidence obtained in the investigation lead to additional charges being brought against Brandon Marque Thompson, the original suspect in the case. On Wednesday afternoon, Thompson was re-arrested by detectives at the Rapides Parish Detention Center as he had not bonded out on the original charges (see below). Thompson remains in jail on an additional $215,000.00 bond. Goleman was arrested Wednesday evening by patrol deputies and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center where she remains on a $235,000.00 bond.
Detectives say their investigation is still ongoing.

Press Release – On September 23rd , 2017 at approximately 6 am, deputies responded to the 2400 block of McKeithen Dr. in reference to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located two individuals in the residence who stated another subject, identified as Brandon Marque Thompson, 25 of Alexandria, had opened fire at one of the individuals standing in a doorway.
Acadian Ambulance responded to the scene to treat one of the victims for a small superficial wound received during the incident. On call detectives from the Glenmora Substation and Crime Scene Unit also responded to the scene to begin their investigation.
Through their investigation, detectives were able to establish probable cause to obtain a warrant for Thompsons arrest for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. Detectives and Patrol Deputies attempted to locate Thompson during the day but were unable to do so. Contact was made later that day with Thompson at the Rapides Parish Courthouse and he was placed under arrest without incident.
Thompson was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and three counts contempt of court on un-related charges. Thompson remains in jail on a $252,500.00 bond.
Detectives say their investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are possible.
