Arna Bontemps African American Museum presents ZYDABAAM this Saturday

Lil-Nate-PhotoAlexandria, LA – The Arna Bontemps African American Museum presents ZYDABAAM, a Zydeco concert, this Saturday, March 29, beginning at 6 p.m. Featured performers will be Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas and Little Nathan and the Zydeco Big Timers.

DJ Justin Metoyer, “The Music Man”, will be laying the beat and teaching Zydeco lessons during the preshow at the Alexandria Amphitheater in downtown Alexandria.

Food and drink coolers are allowed, but no glass containers or bottles. Food vendors will be on-site. Rain site is the Alexandria Fulton Hotel.

ZYDABAAM is a fundraising concert for the Arna Bontemps African American Museum. The Arna Bontemps African-American Museum is the restored childhood home of Arna Bontemps – poet, author, anthologist, and librarian – who was considered the leading authority of the Harlem Renaissance. The Museum is located on 3rd Street within Alexandria’s Cultural Arts District.
