Alexandria Teen Charged with Battery

A teen is arrested in Alexandria for a fight that resulted in a victim being struck unconscious.

He is 19-year-old Quenten Austin of Alexandria, charged with batter. Police say he was trying to take personal items from a home in the 6000 block of Bolton, when the fight broke out.

On Tuesday officers were called to a residence on North Bolton regarding a disturbance. When deputies arrived, they determined that Austin went to the residence to retrieve some personal items and a fight broke out between Austin and a 17-year-old male subject. The victim was struck several times and became unconscious.

Quenten Austin was   arrested, treated by medical personal for minor injuries sustained during the altercation, then booked into the Rapides Parish Jail.

The victim was also transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, then released.
