Alexandria Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-39906″ src=”” alt=”Louis-Blake-Means-Sr-mug” width=”200″ height=”288″ />On September 2nd 2014, Alexandria Police arrested Louis Blake Means Sr, 19 of Alexandria and charged him with 1ct-Attempted Second Degree Murder.

APD Officers were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to a reported Battery.  Upon arrival, the investigation found that the victim and Means were involved in a verbal altercation earlier this date that became physical. During the altercation, Means stabbed the victim with a knife.

Officers located Means at a residence in the 400 Block of Hartwood, where the incident occurred and took him into custody without incident. Means was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for Booking. The victim remains hospitalized.

This incident is still under investigation an there are no other details available for release at this time.
