Alexandria Man Arrested Accused of Shoplifting from JC Penney

On Thursday, Alexandria Police arrested 26-year-old Ivan Jones of Alexandria; he is charged with Felony Theft over 0.

Police were called to JC Penney’s on Masonic Drive Thursday afternoon in reference to a shoplifter in custody. When officers arrived, they found that Jones was detained by the stores Loss Prevention Officer.

According the the press release, Jones was seen taking a man’s suit and concealing it in a shopping bag. He then attempt to leave without paying. The investigation by officers found that Jones was wearing a suit that was also stolen from JC Penney’s.

Jones was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
