The public is invited to attend the 12th annual Human Relations Day, which will be celebrated with a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, at Alexandria Convention Hall, 915 Third St., sponsored by the Alexandria Human Relations Commission.
Each year, the Alexandria Human Relations Commission takes this opportunity to honor individuals and organizations that have enriched the lives of people in Alexandria by their actions in the areas of community service, education, music, and arts contributions. This year the AHRC is honoring Carlette Christmas, Candy Christophe, Victor Dennis, Wanda Ozier, the Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition, and Tamp & Grind Coffee Shop.
This year’s program is dedicated to the memory of a beloved charter member of the Alexandria Human Relations Commission whom we lost in 2013 – David Harris. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.
AHRC members Rabbi Arnold S. Task, Liz Brazelton, Frankie G. Early, Christee Atwood, Nicole Holcombe, Jewel Johnson, John McDaniel, and Dorothy Silas invite you to join them to celebrate Human Relations Day.
