A Perfect Fit Provides Shoes for Local, Needy Children

A local shoe salesman’s family is raising money for a foundation in his honor. They do it every year and it’s called “A Perfect Fit”.

academygiftcardsToday, Jerry Harp’s family provided gift cards to the Rapides Parish School Board. They say the money will be used to buy nearly 15-hundred shoes for children in need in Rapides Parish.

The funds were raised with a pancake breakfast. Volunteers provided the flapjacks, sausages and milk.

The Harp Family is honoring the late Jerry Harp, who sold shoes for more than 50 years. Since 2009, the foundation has provided some 65 hundred shoes for needy children in the parish.

    Hello KLAX News,

I am trying to find a source for the list of Candidates with their photo for the up-coming Nov 4, 2014 local primary election.. I have searched the internet and I have come up blank unless you put in a specific name you can expect to get nothing or outrageous stuff as far back as 1980’s elections, which is hardly 2014. Too many search engines do not KNOW HOW TO STAY IN YOUR SEARCH PARAMETERS. I do not many of the Candidates but I do know that some I would like to see some out of office and I want to make the best informed decision I can and for that I absolutely need a complete printed layout with photo’s please and I know that has to be available somewhere. I am not at all impressed with the current City Marshall nor District Attorney nor Mayor nor Chief of Police. Please give me a non-partisan complete list for all these local Candidates or tell me who has such a list please.

    Sincerely,

    Robert C. Paul
