6 Arrested in Narcotics Operation

Rapides deputies arrest 6 people in a narcotics operation that ranges from Alexandria to the Philadelphia community north of the river.

Michael Hooper of Highpoint Drive was arrested.  He’s accused of meth distribution.

After serving a warrant at a Philadelphia road home, Derek Green of Pineville was taken into custody.  Deputies say they had to tase him to make the arrest.  He’s charged with drug distribution.

Others arrested in the round up include Martin Whatley and Kelley Collins, both of Pineville, and Tina Marie Normand of Marksville.
