5th Graders Receive DARE Graduation Diploma

This time of the year not only marks the holidays, it’s also DARE graduation time.

Yesterday afternoon nearly 30 fifth graders at Rosenthal Elementary received their DARE graduation diploma.  The diplomas were handed out by DARE Instructor Deputy Edrick Coleman who says DARE isn’t all about drugs, it also shows students how to be responsible.

Peabody graduate and Canadian football star Emmanuel Arceneaux gave the commencement address.

Emmanuel Arceneaux graduated from Peabody in 2005 and went on to play for the Vikings, Redskins, and Jets before joining the Canadian league, where he currently plays for the BC Lions.
