3 Teens Arrested in Connection with Runaway Girl
Vernon Parish authorities arrest 3 teens in connection with a reported runaway of a 12-year-old girl from another parish.
They’re 17-year-old Leah Nicole Yancey and 18-year-old Skyler Wayne Van Patten, both of Rosepine, and Michael Anthony Maddox of Slagle. Deputies say Yancey and Van Patten are accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, while Maddox faces that charge plus aggravated rape and oral sexual battery.
The runaway was arrested and charged and then turned over to her parents.
