2nd Hostage in Bank Standoff Dies
A second hostage in this week’s bank standoff here in Louisiana has died here in Alexandria at Rapides Regional Medical Center. LeDean McDaniel passed away this morning at a hospital. He was one of three bank employees taken hostage by Fuaed Ahmed in the rural town of Saint Joseph Tuesday.
Authorities say Ahmed held two men and one woman captive. He released the woman unharmed. But authorities say he shot McDaniel and another man. They say Ahmed also had items to torture the hostages. A swat team eventually stormed the bank and killed him.
