Master Farmer University Underway at LSUA

Master Farmer University is underway at LSU Alexandria today and tomorrow.
These students are completing the second of three phases of this program.  It introduces them to management practices for all phases of animal and crop production.  Also, environmental issues are a major focus of the curriculum.

LSUA Athletics Joins Red River Athletic Conference

Sports programs at LSU Alexandria are still on the uptick.  Today, the school announced its admission to the Red River Athletic Conference.

Zoo Boo Expected to Draw Thousands of Visitors to Alexandria Zoo

It’s the scariest time of year at the Alexandria Zoo.  The 3-day annual Halloween celebration begins tomorrow and runs from 6 to 8:30 each night.

Rapides deputies arrest 6 people in a narcotics operation that ranges from Alexandria to the Philadelphia community north of the river.
