LaSalle Deputy Arrested for Dometic Abuse & Rape


A LaSalle Parish deputy is arrested for domestic abuse and forcible rape.  He’s 52-year-old Clarence Breland Jr. of Jena.  Sheriff Scott Franklin says he’s been on the force for about one and a half years.

Shelter in South LA Searches for Dog Homes

A parish shelter in south Louisiana is in need of help placing more than two dozen dogs.  The shelter has been above capacity since last week.  As Erin Steuber reports, people are dropping off their pets after hours and in some cases, throwing them over the fence.

Most dogs are available for a $25 adoption fee.
