2 Arrested for Animal Cruelty in Vernon Parish

Sheriff Sam Craft says 33-year-old Amanda Scerbo and 42-year-old Jason Scerbo of Anacoco pretended to operate an animal rescue center. However, investigators say they found animals at the couple’s willow road home with inadequate food and water and in poor health.
Deputies reported finding dead animals littering the area around the home.
